Evening describes the beauty of the evening sky. I like the way Rilke portrays looking into the night sky, traveling to heaven. "not quite so still and dark as the darkened houses" places emphasis on how it is not pitch black. The metaphor of the tress giving the sky a blue coat to put on helps the reader to visualize how the darkness spreads across the the sky. Fall day tells about the ending of summer, and the transition into fall. The way the fruits are done growing and the long days are over. He talks about how summer is over and how eeryone is finishing their work. "Who has no house now, will never build one". Life changes as the seasons change.

Fire's Reflection uses great imagery, using a fire's reflection to illistrate someone looking in thier past. The way he uses words, such as "it's because he mistook some risk or other for a promise." really portrays what the poem is about. I think the poem is about how when looking in your past and realizing truths is like looking it to a fire.
